Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Community Crisis Stabilization (CCS) team. In this role, you’ll provide specialized nursing care to adults in a 24‑hour crisis stabilization program that serves as a medically necessary, voluntary, and less restrictive alternative to inpatient psychiatric hospitalization.

Our CCS program features a newly renovated 10‑bed unit where individuals experiencing a behavioral health crisis receive short‑term stabilization and support. Typical stays range from 3 to 5 days but are flexible based on each individual’s needs.

  • Saturday & Sunday | 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

LPN shift differentials for the Stabilization Unit position are:

  • 7a – 11p (Sat & Sun only) = Base + $1.00
  • 11p – 7a (ANY day of the week) = Base + $2.00
  • 3-11pm (Monday through Friday) = Base + $1.00
What You Will Do
  • Monitor and document client’s self‑administration of medications while ensuring safe medication practices.
  • Monitor clients’ physical health needs and coordinate acute medical care with direct care staff as needed.
  • Facilitate health and wellness groups and activities that promote recovery and overall well‑being.
  • Deliver strength‑based, solution‑focused nursing interventions and support individuals in developing Wellness Recovery Action Plans (WRAP) and safety plans.
  • Complete assigned clinical documentation and participate in required trainings to support high quality care.
What You Will Bring
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma/Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree)
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound clinical judgment, and provide compassionate, high‑quality care
  • One year of experience in an acute mental health and/or co‑occurring disorders setting (preferred)
  • Familiarity with recovery‑oriented treatment approaches for individuals with severe mental illness (preferred)

Compensation

Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses. Annual ranges listed are based on a full‑time, 40‑hour per week position.

Salary Range

$31.25 – $36.06 USD
