About the Role
Wound Care Center Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Provider provides wound-related and basic nursing care to patients in the center, following all policies and procedures.
Responsibilities- Assist in vein clinic as assigned after training
- Assist with intake and discharge
- Provide assistance with case management under RN direction
- Gather patient information
- Gather necessary equipment and supplies for RN or provider
- Report quality of care issues to Clinical Nurse Manager
- Communicate with team members regarding therapeutic interventions
- Perform hyperbaric oxygen therapy related duties after completing required training
- May perform hyperbaric safety director duties after training
- Serve as Documentation Assistant (scribe) in accordance with policy
- Perform other delegated duties
- High School Diploma or GED
- Graduate from accredited practical nursing program/state approved program
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in state of practice, to be maintained
- Two or more years experience as LPN/LVN, including at least one year in SNF or LTACH setting
- Wound care experience preferred

- Remain calm in all situations
- Computerized nursing systems knowledge
- Stationary position for extended periods (4+ hours)
- Viewing computer screen extended periods (4+ hours)
- Keying frequently on computer (4+ hours)
- Moving items up to 20 lbs
- Moving items up to 75 lbs with equipment assistance
- Pushing/pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, grasping, touching
Normal office environment, primarily indoors, patient care environment. Exposure to hazards such as blood borne pathogens, toxic chemicals, flammable gases, mechanical equipment, moving objects.
