Nature and Scope

The Director of Nursing (DON) administers this newer service line at Plumas District Hospital. The DON supervises all aspects of nursing services, ensuring adherence to regulations, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting a collaborative environment among the healthcare team. The DON leads the SNF to meet legal, organizational, and medical staff guidelines in achieving optimum health care delivery. Organizes, directs, plans, assesses and leads this new program.

We are located at 1065 Bucks Lake Road, Quincy, CA 95971.

Compensation for Benefited, Full-Time Pay Scale

Base Rate: $66.89 - $95.37 / hour (or $ - $)

Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience.

Sign on Bonus: $10,000.00

Housing Stipend:
We provide three months of paid housing or $1,500.00 / month housing stipend for the first three months of employment

Full-time and weekdays

Education:

• Current registered nurse(RN) license in the state of California
• Bachelor's or Master's defree in nursing or related field
• Current CPR Certification

Knowledge, Skills and Abilites:

• Knowledge of Joint Commission standards and experience in maintaining accreditation.
• Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality improvement processes, and evidence-based nursing practices.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse nursing team.
• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technology.
• Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous quality improvement.

• Provide visionary leadership to the nursing staff, setting clear expectations, and fostering a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement.
• Ensure the delivery of safe, effective, and patient-centered care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
• Monitor and evaluate nursing practices, outcomes, and processes to maintain standards and drive quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement professional development plans for nursing staff, encouraging ongoing education and training to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Stay abreast of federal, state, and local regulations impacting nursing practices and ensure the facility's compliance with all applicable laws.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, therapists, social workers, and administrative staff, to ensure comprehensive patient care plans and optimal outcomes.
• Participate in budget development and monitor expenditures related to nursing services, striving for cost-effective resource allocation.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and address any performance issues promptly and professionally.
• Act as a patient advocate, ensuring patients' rights, dignity, and choices are respected while facilitating effective communication between patients, families, and staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
