Territory Sales Manager

Description

The Territory Group Sales Manager is a proactive, future-focused sales position responsible for building long‑term group business and strengthening the hotel’s future room night base. The primary focus of this role is the solicitation and development of new accounts and new group opportunities, including identifying business currently booking within the competitive set and across targeted geographic and market segments.

This position will maintain a strong external sales presence through a high volume of client appointments, prospecting activities, market visits, networking events, and industry trade shows to increase hotel exposure and develop new relationships.

Success in this role will be measured by the ability to generate new business, grow future group room nights and revenue, expand the hotel’s account base, and create a stronger crossover position.

Position requirements:

• Strong proactive sales and business development experience with a proven ability to identify, solicit, and convert new group accounts.
• Highly motivated, self‑directed professional comfortable spending significant time in‑market developing new business.
• Proven success with client appointments, prospecting, trade shows, networking, and relationship development.
• Strong organizational, negotiation, presentation, and strategic account development skills.
• Ability to manage a robust pipeline of future opportunities and consistently achieve room night and revenue goals.
