Position SummaryThe Regional Director of Business Development and Operations, New England is responsible for growing Krieger Scientific's presence throughout the region and supporting the operational performance behind that growth.
Reporting directly to the President and CEO, this leader will develop new client relationships, expand existing accounts, oversee regional client engagements, and help build the people and processes needed to support continued growth.
Responsibilities- Develop and execute Krieger Scientific's business development strategy throughout New England.
- Identify and secure new business within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries.
- Build and expand relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Identify opportunities across Krieger Scientific's service offerings.
- Develop proposals, pricing, presentations, and contract terms.
- Maintain revenue forecasts and provide regular updates to the CEO.
- Oversee regional project performance, including staffing, utilization, profitability, delivery, and client satisfaction.
- Establish and manage meaningful operational KPIs.
- Identify operational challenges and build repeatable processes to support growth.
- Partner with the Head of People to forecast hiring needs, define roles, identify talent, and participate in hiring decisions.
- Develop strategic relationships and partnerships throughout the New England life sciences market.
- Represent Krieger Scientific at client meetings, conferences, and industry events.
- Business development and operational experience within life sciences, engineering, consulting, or technical services.
- Strong knowledge of the New England pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device market.
- Existing relationships within the New England life sciences community.
- Experience selling consulting, engineering, or technical services.
- Understanding of CQV, calibration, engineering, quality and compliance, asset management, relocation, technical staffing, or related services.
- Experience developing proposals, pricing services, negotiating contracts, and managing client relationships.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work directly with the CEO and across all areas of a growing company.
- Ability to travel throughout New England as needed.
Success will be measured by profitable regional revenue growth, new client acquisition, expansion of existing accounts, strong project performance, client satisfaction, and the ability to build the relationships, talent, and operational foundation needed to grow Krieger Scientific throughout New England.
