Fire Alarm Technician – Fire & Life Safety Systems
Quincy, MA | Full-Time | Field Service Technician (Inspections and Service)
Career Staffing Talent (CST) is partnering with a nationally recognized fire safety company to hire an experienced Fire Alarm Technician in the Quincy area. This is an immediate opportunity to join a growing team that values your expertise and invests in your future.
Responsibilities- Install, program, and maintain fire alarm systems in commercial buildings
- Conduct inspections and testing to ensure compliance with safety codes
- Diagnose and resolve system issues; replace components as needed
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation
- Communicate clearly with clients regarding system performance and service
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and time spent
- Follow OSHA and company safety protocols
- Stay current on evolving fire codes and emerging technologies
- Massachusetts Fire Alarm License (Rhode Island license a plus)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in fire alarm installation and service
- Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and regulatory standards
- Proficiency with system programming tools and diagnostic equipment
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and commitment to quality
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in elevated/confined spaces
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight travel
