We are seeking a skilled Permanent Pipe Welder (TIG) to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be a seasoned professional with a strong background in welding carbon steel and TIG root, with a minimum of 5 years of pipe welding experience. This role is perfect for a technically proficient individual who is passionate about precision, quality, and safety.
As a Permanent Pipe Welder (TIG), you will play a crucial role in our operations, ensuring that our manufacturing processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Perform TIG welding operations on carbon steel pipes in accordance with specified procedures and standards.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to understand welding requirements and set up equipment.
- Conduct inspections of welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Maintain and repair all welding equipment and fixtures.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of protective equipment.
- Collaborate with the team to troubleshoot and solve welding issues.
- Ensure work is done accurately and efficiently to minimize waste and downtime.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to maintain current knowledge in the field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in TIG welding, specifically with carbon steel and TIG root.
- Proven track record of interpreting and following blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using manual or semi‑automatic welding equipment.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot welding issues.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy items.
- Valid welding certification is a significant advantage.
