Description

Commercial Service Electrical Apprentices are required to be enrolled in, actively participate in, and remain in good standing with a Massachusetts Board of State Examiners of Electricians-approved electrical education program that qualifies apprentices to test for a Journeyperson Electrician license. Apprentices are responsible for completing coursework outside of ReVision Energy working hours, accurately tracking supervised work hours in Apprenti Scope, and proactively communicating any schedule or workload concerns so the ReVision team can provide appropriate support as needed.

Per Massachusetts electrical apprenticeship requirements, apprentices must complete 600 hours of approved classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of supervised electrical experience.

Role and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
  • Complete or maintain active enrollment and good standing in a Massachusetts Board-approved electrical education program, complete required coursework outside of work hours, and provide timely updates on transcripts and work hours in Apprenti Scope.
  • Balance field service responsibilities with apprenticeship education requirements, communicating proactively with the Commercial O&M Manager, Lead Technician, and scheduling team when academic obligations may affect workload, availability, or travel.
  • Respond to electrical service calls and support work on PV, BESS, and EV charging systems under appropriate supervision.
  • Assist with diagnosing system issues, troubleshooting equipment, communicating with technical support, and performing repairs as directed
  • Participate in preventive and corrective maintenance activities under supervision.
  • Follow the Lead Technician’s guidance on job execution, safety requirements, and workflow prioritization
  • Communicate professionally with customers when appropriate, under the direction of the Lead Technician
  • Complete accurate and timely service documentation , i ncluding:
  • Clear written notes describing work performed and observations
  • Photo documentation suitable for internal records and customer-facing service reports
  • Updates to internal CRM and service tracking systems as directed
  • Gather information and documentation needed to support warranty claim s and manufacturer re quests
  • Travel to service sites across assigned territories, including regular daily vehicle travel and occasional overnight stays as required by project needs and scheduling
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe job sites, including assisting with site preparation and cleanup.
  • Demonstrate curiosity, initiative, and a willingness to learn by asking questions and offering ideas while respecting the Lead’s direction
  • Follow all company policies, safety standards, and procedures at all times.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements Qualifications (required):
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Active or completed enrollment in a Massachusetts Board-approved electrical education program and demonstrated commitment to balancing field work with apprenticeship education requirements
  • Ability to accurately track supervised electrical work hours in Apprenti Scope and provide timely documentation as requested.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email and web-based applications; ability to learn CRM and reporting tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, work with tools, work in crawl spaces, and work on rooftops in varying weather conditions
  • Comfortable working at heights
  • Strong teamwork skills and a positive, professional attitude
  • Safety conscious — committed to following and reinforcing safety rules with supervisors, co-workers, and customers
  • Effective communication skills with both customers and internal team members
  • Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced service environment
