Field Service Technician Trainee

Kinsley Group is seeking a Field Service Technician Trainee to support onsite power and energy systems for commercial and industrial customers. In this entry-level role, you'll assist senior technicians with installation, startup, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting of generators, CHP systems, and related equipment at customer sites. You'll learn to interpret manuals and schematics, complete service reports, and follow strict safety and lockout/tagout procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians with installation, startup, and commissioning of generator and CHP systems
• Perform preventive maintenance on generators and related equipment under supervision
• Support basic troubleshooting and repairs of electrical and mechanical components
• Follow all safety, lockout/tagout, and site-specific procedures at customer locations
• Document work performed using digital service reports and checklists
• Maintain tools, service vehicles, and parts in clean, ready condition
• Communicate professionally with customers while on site
• Participate in technical, safety, and OEM training to build skills and certifications
