Senior Fuel Technician

• Diagnose, repair and maintain fuel dispensers, underground storage tanks (USTs), leak detection systems, and vapor recovery units
• Install and upgrade fueling equipment and related technology
• Perform preventive maintenance and compliance inspections
• Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues in a timely manner
• Maintain detailed service, inspection, and compliance records
• Support construction projects, tank testing, and permitting activities
• Serve as a technical lead and mentor to junior technicians
• Act as a subject matter expert for fueling systems and regulatory compliance
• Coordinate with vendors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies
• Recommend system upgrades and long-term improvements
• Support and maintain fueling infrastructure across multiple retail locations

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience servicing fuel systems
• Experience working independently in field-based service environments
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel between store locations
• Technical certification or vocational training (preferred)
• Experience with fuel systems in retail, convenience store, or commercial fueling environments (preferred)
• Familiarity with Veeder-Root, Gilbarco, and Wayne systems (preferred)
• OSHA and/or HAZMAT certification (preferred)
• 5+ years of fuel systems experience for senior-level roles (preferred)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work outdoors in varying weather
• On-call availability for emergency or after-hours service as needed

Demonstrates expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining fuel dispensers and underground storage tanks, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance and technical leadership. Proven ability to perform preventive maintenance and support construction projects while coordinating with vendors and regulatory agencies.
