Java Developer, Cloud Engineer - Software, Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer
Akkodis is seeking a Developer for a Contract with a client in North Quincy, MA. This role requires strong hands‑on expertise in AWS and Java/Spring Boot to be fully considered for the position.
Rate Range: $53/hour to $57/hour;
The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, develop, and maintain cloud‑native microservices using Java, J2EE, and Spring Boot on AWS.
- Build, consume, and integrate RESTful APIs following best practices for performance, scalability, and security.
- Implement event‑driven and messaging solutions using Kafka or enterprise MQ technologies.
- Develop and deploy applications using AWS services such as EC2, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, IAM, and Cloud Watch.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipeline automation and Dev Ops practices using Git, Jenkins, Harness, and related tools.
- Support containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes and participate across the full SDLC, including design, testing, troubleshooting, and production support.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5–8 years of hands‑on experience in Java/J2EE development with strong exposure to AWS cloud services.
- Proven experience designing and developing Spring Boot–based microservices and RESTful APIs.
- Hands‑on experience integrating messaging solutions using Kafka and/or enterprise MQ systems.

Pay Details: $53.00 to $57.00 per hour
