Senior application developer w​/Linux OS Java devlopment, AVP

Job Description: We are looking for a Senior application developer with Linux OS and Java background to build, test, deploy, and support SWIFT network interface related Unix applications. This exciting role is in a fast-paced development environment, working with an extremely talented group delivering large development initiatives. Technical knowledge of Swift is a plus.

What we value: Experience in developing Java‑based applications. Ownership and accountability of applications, along with upstream and downstream integrations, and successful implementation of large and complex projects. Extensive domain experience with the SWIFT messaging platform. Work closely with Product Owners and others on requirements analysis, planning, project management, and execution.

• Analyze, design, develop, test, document and implement large software deliverables.
• Deep hands‑on expertise in Kubernetes.
• Strong monitoring and observability.
• Maintain and support existing software applications.
• Identify and resolve complex application issues and bugs.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines for application deployment such as Harness or Jenkins.
• Take ownership to meet or exceed pre‑defined SLAs.
• Perform other duties as required.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent field.
• 10‑12+ years of experience managing global software development.
• Experience translating large, complex business requirements into technical design and executing to successful completion.
• Knowledge of midrange system Tandem technical skills is a plus.
• Experience in Git Hub and other source code systems.
• Extensive experience with UNIX and UNIX ksh scripts.
• Familiarity with SOA concepts and SDLC lifecycle.

• Proven problem‑solving, communication, interpersonal and analytical skills.
• Self‑motivated, detail‑oriented, and highly responsible.
• Fast learner and multi‑tasker.

• Onsite 4 days a week in office and one day remote.
• Standard business hours aligned to project and stakeholder needs (8am to 5pm).

$90,000 – $157,500 annual. The range quoted above applies to the role in the location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the location above, the applicable range could differ.
