The Quincy Valley is located near the center of Washington State, just 10 miles north of I‑90 and about halfway between Seattle and Spokane. Quincy School District encompasses 450 square miles of the Valley area, including the city of Quincy (population > 8,000). The district includes five elementary schools, one middle school, one alternative learning K‑12 school, and a 2A high school. Approximately 3,180 students attend, with 500 certificated and classified staff.
The student population is diverse: 87.9 % Hispanic, 0.4 % Asian, and 0.3 % African American.
- Provide yearly health assessments of all QSD students; prepare health plans and provide staff training as appropriate.
- Monitor the health of high‑risk students throughout the school year.
- Work with students from Pre‑School–12 and collaborate with general education and special education departments.
- Monitor compliance of health programs with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, policies, and procedural guidelines.
- Serve as a resource person and liaison for health‑related issues for students, parents, and staff.
- Assess and identify communicable diseases and health risks to student and staff populations and facilitate necessary interventions.
- Provide basic health assessments and first aid for students; refer when appropriate.
- Attend building/district meetings, trainings, and conferences as required.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- (BSN) Baccalaureate degree in nursing (preferred), or Associate Degree in nursing while enrolled in an RN‑to‑BSN program, from an accredited college/university.
- Valid Washington State license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
- Hold an ESA School Nurse certificate or be willing to obtain it within the first year of employment.
- CPR/First Aid & AED Certified; willing to keep certifications current.
- Two years of nursing experience preferred in child, family, or community health.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Consistent punctuality and attendance.
- Ability to work collaboratively with supervisors and colleagues.
- Flexibility with schedule changes as student needs and priorities change.
- Maintain confidentiality and integrity of information and records.
- Experience delegating and supervising medical procedures and providing yearly staff training on medical issues and student‑specific needs.

Retirement benefits are provided through the WA State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS). Paid leave includes 12 days of sick leave and 3 personal leave days. Benefits may be prorated based on date of hire/FTE.

Salary$51,862 to $97,751 per year.
