Quincy Athletics is part of the Central WA Athletic Conference (2A). Our coaches are responsible for training and preparing student‑athletes for meaningful competition through instruction in fundamental skills, strategies, and physical training necessary for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.

• Thorough knowledge of all athletic policies and codes approved by the Quincy School District regarding Administrative, Student, Equipment, Facilities, and Program duties; and responsible for their implementation.
• Thorough knowledge of the WIAA handbook relating to coaching, trainings, and clinics.
• Demonstrated technical skills, and successful experience teaching these skills to school student athletes.
• Exhibited organizational skills and abilities to ensure a well‑managed program.
• Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation within the school sports program and school community.
• Strives to improve skills by attending clinics and using resources.
• Performs related tasks consistent with the scope and responsibility of the position.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, community, and staff.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or Superintendent.

• High School Diploma or G.E.D.
• Must meet the age requirements of WIAA applicable to the position (21 years of age for a head coach and 19 years of age for assistant coach).
• Hold a valid current First Aid/CPR certification card or be able to obtain.
• Must adhere to the standards set forth by WIAA.
• Ability to perform all duties in accordance with applicable Board policies and district and legal requirements.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations and possess great human relations and interpersonal skills and take initiative when necessary.
• Ability to meet and maintain punctuality and attendance expectations.

This position does not qualify for health insurance or paid leave benefits. 1 hour of sick time earned every 40 hours worked.
