The purpose of the Client Operations Specialist is to ensure the efficient and accurate execution of back‑office operations, providing critical support to wealth managers and client service managers. By diligently managing daily operational tasks, maintaining strict accuracy in financial transactions, and proactively addressing potential issues, the Specialist contributes to a seamless client experience and the overall success of the firm. This role serves as a vital knowledge resource, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the Client Operations team.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Turnaround & Processing Efficiency:
Complete new account setups and money‑movement requests quickly and accurately to ensure a smooth client experience. - Account Opening & Retitling:
Support advisor and client onboarding by opening and retitling accounts with consistency and reliability. - Daily Money Movement Operations:
Process cashiering, ACH, and internal journal requests with precision to keep daily activity running seamlessly. - Quality & Accuracy Standards:
Maintain strong attention to detail and meet internal accuracy expectations across all operational tasks. - Issue Resolution & Risk Awareness:
Identify and resolve simple errors and proactively flag potential issues before they impact clients. - Workflow & Time Management:
Prioritize multiple requests and consistently meet internal timelines, even during high‑volume periods. - Team & Onboarding Support:
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for new hires by sharing best practices and reinforcing operational processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Peer Learning – Shadowing and reverse shadowing with other COS members
- Self‑Directed Learning – Self‑study
- Custodial Proficiency – Increased knowledge of custodial digital tools
- Effective Communication – Stronger communication and time management skills
- Commitment to Accuracy – Strong accuracy level in all tasks
- Internal Training & Development – Internal training
- Team‑Based Knowledge Building – Can work closely with other COS members or manager to gain knowledge and skills
- Operational Teamwork – Can collaborate with other internal team members to ensure smooth operations
