About This Role
We are excited to offer a dynamic opportunity for a passionate and experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will lead classroom activities, implement with integrity the current curriculum, and foster a nurturing environment that supports the holistic growth of young children. Your expertise will inspire curiosity, promote learning through play, and ensure every child feels valued and supported.
This position is ideal for someone dedicated to early childhood education who thrives on creating positive, impactful experiences for preschoolers.
Full-time teachers work 9-hour days (including a 1-hour break). We open at 6:30am and close at 5:00pm.
What You'll Do- The "Fun Sunshine" curriculum is currently being implemented. This curriculum includes lesson plans designed to be developmentally appropriate and consistent with established principles such as Wisconsin Model Early Learning Standards (WMELS). It integrates key areas including literacy, mathematics, and physical education.
- Lead classroom activities that promote childhood development, social-emotional skills, and early intervention strategies.
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop individualized plans for children requiring special education or additional support.
- Engage with children through hands‑on activities that stimulate cognitive growth, motor skills, and language development.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns related to child welfare or classroom experience.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, and lesson planning documentation to support ongoing assessment and improvement efforts.
- Prior classroom management experience in preschool or early childhood education settings.
- Experience working with children across various age groups, particularly toddlers and preschoolers.
- Knowledge of childhood development theories and best practices in childcare environments.
- Strong communication skills essential for engaging with children, parents, and team members effectively.
- Familiarity with classroom experience in private schools or daycare centers is preferred.
- Proven ability to implement lesson planning strategies that foster literacy education, math skills, and physical activity while maintaining a nurturing environment. Join us in shaping the future by providing enriching educational experiences that empower young learners!
