Mechanical Parts Redesign Engineer
Takes lead on various mechanical / parts redesign projects, as assigned. Responsible for a set of assigned product codes. Manages an Engineering Action Request (EAR) queue daily. Works closely with Purchasing & Suppliers on part matters. Identifies alternative solutions for mechanical parts in back order. Works closely with Engineering colleagues to assist with Engineering Action Requests (EARs) and projects, as assigned.
Manages & Reports on key project milestones. May work directly with dealer/customer for part fit-up activities. Build on the existing framework and establish forward thinking approach to long-term support of mechanical parts, used on Agriculture (AG) and Construction (CE) off-road equipment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science (if highly field experienced (Farm/Construction Equipment) – will consider an Associates) in Applied Science, Mechanical Engineering, AG Systems, Automotive Tech.
- 3+ years’ experience with CAD, Creo, and/or various design programs
- 3+ years’ experience / practical knowledge of Mechanical design and function in on-road/off-road applications.
- 3+ years’ experience with redesign of parts and all related components for on-road/off-road applications.
- 3+ years’ working experience with a Global, cross-functional team of Engineers, business groups and suppliers, preferably in the Agricultural, Construction whole goods industry.
- Creativity and a drive to identify solution paths in a timely manner.
