Job Purpose
A Noise vibration and harshness Test Engineer plays a key role in the development of CNH's Large Tractor product line. Noise, ride quality, and vibration levels are high impact contributors to the customer's overall experience.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and execute NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) testing to validate new product designs, troubleshoot issues, and ensure products meet performance, safety, and customer expectations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define project goals, develop test plans, assess risks, and improve testing methods and validation processes.
- Set up and operate test equipment and instrumentation, perform vehicle and component testing, and collect high-quality data in both laboratory and field environments.
- Analyze test data using specialized software to identify trends, diagnose root causes, evaluate system performance, and recommend design improvements.
- Document and present technical findings, drive corrective actions with engineering and suppliers, verify solutions, and support additional testing activities as needed.
- Minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Agricultural, or other related engineering discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years relevant product development or engineering experience.
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience utilizing NVH test instrumentation (microphones, accelerometers, etc.) with data acquisition tools (LMS SCADAS, DEWEsoft, eDAQ, sQuadriga, or similar).
- Minimum of 1 year’s experience with sound/vibration signal processing and sound quality analysis using Test.lab, ArtemiS or similar.
- Coursework in acoustics or vibration.
- Agricultural background or passion for off‑road equipment; knowledge of tractor systems and operation; hands‑on experience repairing and maintaining equipment.
- Experience with CANalyzer, INCA, LabVIEW or similar.
- Attention to detail.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical and hydraulic systems.
The annual salary for this role is USD $63,750.00 - $ plus any applicable bonus. Actual salaries will vary and be based on factors such as skill, experience and qualification for the role. For roles open across multiple locations, the salary range indicated refers to the primary location. If a different location is considered, the applicable salary range will be communicated to candidates prior to the first interview.
