Lead Information Technology Business Analyst
Spartanburg, SC
This role is critical in bridging the gap between business needs and IT solutions, ensuring that software and system requirements are meticulously documented and implemented. The Lead Information Technology Business Analyst will work closely with business owners to understand processes, workflows, and their relationship to current and future software solutions. Additionally, this role will mentor other business analysts and provide strategic guidance across multiple business areas.

- Leading the process of identifying and gathering business requirements to create comprehensive solutions that address business needs.
- Facilitating requirements gathering sessions within one or more business functional areas and developing detailed business requirements documents.
- Overseeing the creation of functional and technical specifications, including managing changes and assessing their impact on business requirements.
- Providing production support, including supplying artifacts (data models, data maps, knowledge base articles) and educating support teams.
- Documenting and tracking current and future state business processes across multiple functional areas.
- Defining test scenarios, plans, strategies, and creating test scripts to validate solutions.
- Serving as the subject matter expert (SME) on business processes and systems within your area of expertise.
- Acting as a liaison between the IT application team and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and clear communication.
- Providing ongoing support to the applications team, including project management responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis, Information Technology, or a related area.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL IT Service Management and experience in defining, deploying, and managing ITSM processes.
- Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with various web-based software applications including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint), and other relevant tools.
