Position Description
This person is responsible for managing component, supplies to assure that daily production schedules are maintained. Person will use SAP and other resources to track requirements and work with the suppliers allowing on time delivery of components;
Individual has the freedom to make decisions and job performance is critical to the day to day operation of the plant.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for and manages purchasing, materials requirements planning, supplier relationship management
- Develop and execute material strategies that meet customer requirements, company targets and creates stability across the supply chain
- Maintain inventory levels for productive material consistent with production schedules and management directives
- Incumbent will work with Corporate Purchasing, maximizing SAP in supporting customers, suppliers and inter-company transfer of parts.
- Will analyze all purchased item requirements from MRP which defines all current and future demand.
- Develop relationships with suppliers and be in constant communications with them.
- Once approval has been obtained he/she will prepare material requisition and order using approved suppliers regarding the specification, quantities, pricing, due dates and the shipping information.
- This is part of the incumbent's daily standard work, Work with appropriate parties to solve issues in order scheduling
Required Education & Qualifications
Bachelor Degree preferred 5-10 year in Purchasing/Procurement (MP&L), Microsoft Office preferably in Materials Management, Business or Accounting. Must have good computer skills and be proficient with Microsoft office, experience working with MRP. Experience with SAP is beneficial
