Overview

Bell & Associates is seeking a Production Manager in Racine, WI.

Production Manager oversees daily manufacturing operations to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality production of food ingredients. This role is responsible for leading the production teams, optimizing processes, maintaining compliance with food safety standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet customer and business objectives.

Essential Functions
  • Schedule and manage daily production activities to meet output goals and customer demand.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and all applicable food safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor production performance metrics (yield, throughput, downtime, scrap, labor efficiency) and implement corrective actions as needed.
  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for non-conformances.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain, Maintenance, and Quality departments to ensure uninterrupted production flow.
  • Ensure production areas are cleaned and sanitized according to sanitation schedules, allergen control requirements, and company procedures.
  • Support internal and external audits, including customer and regulatory inspections.
  • Drive process optimization, KPI/metrics reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Oversee document verification, including production work orders, pre-op records, and MCS documentation.
  • Ensure proper inventory rotation by enforcing FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices for all raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
Position Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in process engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Working knowledge of Lean
  • Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies preferred.
