JOB DESCRIPTIONThe Machine Assembler will use hand tools, fixtures, and power tools to assemble, set up, troubleshoot, and operate a variety of labeling machines and labeling stations. The position will also teardown, clean, polish, reassemble, and test filling valves; sub‑assemble various components such as cold‑glue, hot‑melt, and APS labeling stations; and assemble drive shafts, bearings, gear and gearbox assemblies. Additional duties are required as needed.
Manual machine set‑up and operation of drill press, saws, and grinders are required to process assemblies. Electrical experience is a plus. The candidate must be able to work overtime to meet production schedules, lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis, and stand or walk 95 % of the day.
High school education required; technical school preferred. Requires a working knowledge of precision assembly techniques and basic mechanical principles. Knowledge of electrical principles is not required but is a plus. Must be able to use measuring devices, hand and power tools, arbor press, and drill press. Must read assembly drawings, have a working knowledge of the metric system, and possess basic computer skills.
Electrical experience is a plus.
