Assembler II – 3rd Shift (11:00pm–7:30am, Sunday–Thursday) – Racine, WI (8635 Washington Ave., Mt.Pleasant). Salary: $20 per hour.
Responsibilities- Assemble parts according to specified work instructions and/or drawings.
- Use hand, battery, electric, and pneumatic powered tools for assemblies.
- Operate laser etcher, dot‑peen etcher, and engraver to produce customer‑specified modifications.
- Use basic printing programs to complete customer orders and adjust as necessary.
- Record daily customer order activity in the production system, view work instructions, and report completed work.
- Navigate LX screens to identify inventory requirements and status; make adjustments as required.
- Take initiative to complete priority items and seek additional information from lead or supervisor when needed.
- Participate in and contribute to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost continuous improvement efforts.
- Train others in the department.
- Perform basic 5S and Lean concepts to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workplace.
High School Diploma or GED (preferred). 3+ years of assembly/manufacturing experience desired.
Qualifications- Understand gluing and centering to specific tolerances across multiple product lines.
- Ability to use function generators and a multimeter (if applicable).
- Basic proficiency with computers, including an ERP system and Microsoft Office.
- Collaboration: Work with others across the organization to achieve shared goals.
- Communication: Convey information clearly and listen actively.
- Initiating Action: Take prompt and proactive action to achieve results.
- Work Standards: Set and uphold high performance standards for self and others.
- Manufacturing environment; may lift up to 60pounds.
- Must pass an audiogram test; those in Aerospace must pass a vision, color vision, and depth‑perception test.
- Require good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina.
- Must wear personal protective gear most of the day.
