Swiss-Tech LLC is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Manager to lead operations in our fast-paced, precision manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, this leadership role is responsible for driving safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and continuous improvement across a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Key Responsibilities Manufacturing Operations Leadership
  • Lead all daily manufacturing operations across a 24/7 production environment.
  • Ensure production schedules are executed safely, efficiently, and on time.
  • Monitor plant performance and implement corrective actions to achieve operational targets.
  • Maintain accountability throughout, labor utilization, equipment effectiveness, and production costs.
  • Coordinate activities across multiple shifts to ensure seamless operations and communication.
  • Establish tiered daily discipline across all shits through structed communication, performance management, and leadership accountability.
Safety & Compliance
  • Champion of culture that drives safety and accountability throughout the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards.
  • Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and promote continuous safety improvements.
Quality Management
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to maintain compliance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Drive defect reduction initiatives and continuous improvement in manufacturing quality.
  • Ensure adherence to standardization work instructions, procedures, and quality systems.
  • Support customer audits and corrective action processes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop production supervisor and manufacturing personnel.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Foster employee engagement, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Develop succession plans and training programs to strengthen organizational capacity.
  • Manage staffing levels to support 24/7 operational requirements.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, and optimize workflows.
  • Utilize KPIs and data analysis to drive decision-making and performance improvements.
  • Facilitate Kaizen events and cross-functional improvement projects.
  • Help develop and manage departmental budgets.
  • Monitor manufacturing costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
  • Support annual operating plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Ensure workforce planning aligning with future capacity requirements.
  • collaborate with Director of Operations to develop long-term manufacturing capacity strategies.
  • Participate in capital planning and manufacturing expansion initiatives.
  • Ensure efficient utilization of labor, equipment, and materials.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and Customer Service teams.
  • Support new product introductions and process improvement projects.
  • Participate in capacity planning and operational strategy development.
  • Communication production performance and operational challenges to leadership.
Experience Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or related field or experience with multiple certifications.
  • 7-10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years managing supervisors and production teams.
  • Experience leading operations in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated success managing safety, quality, delivery, and cost metrics.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be a US person for ITAR compliance.
Preferred
  • Experience in Swiss-style precision manufacturing organizations.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Engineering or technical manufacturing background.
