International PFASs Forensics Subject Matter Expert

CDM Smith is seeking a dynamic technical leader to oversee and expand our PFASs Forensics services within the aviation, industrial, municipal, and federal markets.

What you bring to contribute to CDM Smith’s mission:

• PhD in PFASs Application Forensics
• Over 5 years’ experience focused on PFAS Forensics
• Expertise with high‑resolution mass spectrometry (Orbitrap / QTOF)
• Detailed understanding of PFASs chemistry, uses, manufacturing, fate, transport, and precursor transformation
• Experience with Analytical Methods: CIC, TOP, NMR, etc.
• Sample preparation protocols and management of matrix effects and PFASs extraction inefficiencies
• Record of publications
• Conference presentations
• Scientific communication

• 15 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required; frequency depends on duties and project demands.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

• Active membership in a related professional organization.
• Existing, strong relationships with aviation, industrial, municipal, and federal clients.
• Knowledge of transition from PFAS‑containing firefighting foams in mobile or fixed foam dispensing equipment.
• Basic understanding of PFAS chemistry.

Expert knowledge of corporate governance practices, organization design principles, accounting principles, finance, supply chain management, and organization management. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to understand highly complex technical, professional and business materials.
