HVAC Technician, Level T24, 1st Shift

ABOUT THE ROLE

As an HVAC Technician you will maintain, repair, and install a variety of HVAC equipment such as rooftop air handling units, exhaust systems, chillers, DX units, steam & condensate systems, and water utilities. This is a first‑shift, 8‑hour position that may include overtime to support site overhaul, preventative and predictive maintenance.

• Maintain and repair heating, ventilating, and air conditioning equipment, plumbing, and utility systems.
• Use HVAC control system knowledge to troubleshoot and replace control components.
• Complete preventative maintenance plans, contribute to process improvements, and maintain system records.
• Respond to emergency equipment breakdowns and make appropriate judgments when equipment malfunctions.
• Work independently and collaboratively within small or large groups.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Participate constructively in meetings involving decision making, problem solving, and root‑cause analysis.
• Remain flexible to rotate assignments and work schedules based on business needs.

• EPA 608 Universal license.
• Refrigerant license.
• Five years of experience in the HVAC trade.
• Journeyman license or a technical degree in HVAC.
• Technical certificates and certifications in the HVAC trade.
• Ability to troubleshoot refrigerant, electrical, and duct system problems on HVAC equipment.
• Willingness to assist with pipe fitting and fire‑suppression systems.

• Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot minor electrical failures.
• Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of fire‑protection systems, steam, condensate, and/or pipe fitting.
• Knowledge of utility services and pump rebuilding.
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment.
• Flexibility to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience in an industrial, hospital, or manufacturing environment.
• RCM (Reliability‑Centered Maintenance) experience.

• Full‑time, 1st shift (8 hrs).
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform ergonomic tasks such as standing, walking, bending, climbing stairs, kneeling, reaching overhead, pushing, and pulling.
• Work outside when required.
