Building Waters is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our growing team. If you take pride in delivering quality workmanship, enjoy solving electrical challenges, and want to work for a company that values its employees and customers, we'd love to meet you.
As a Journeyman Electrician, you'll perform residential and light commercial electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and service work while delivering an outstanding customer experience on every job.
Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in residential and light commercial properties.
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and project specifications.
- Install wiring, electrical panels, outlets, switches, lighting, and other electrical components.
- Diagnose electrical problems and recommend effective solutions.
- Ensure all work complies with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local building codes.
- Work safely while maintaining a clean and organized job site.
- Communicate professionally with customers, explaining repairs and recommendations.
- Complete work orders and documentation accurately.
- Assist in training and mentoring apprentice electricians.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule.
- Current Journeyman Electrician License (required)
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Strong knowledge of residential electrical systems (light commercial experience is a plus)
- Thorough understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift, climb ladders, and work in various indoor and outdoor environments
