RDC Warehouse - Delivery Driver; Non-CDL

As a RDC Warehouse
- Delivery Driver at Crescent Electric, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate delivery and/or pick-up of goods to specified locations. This includes safe operation of the vehicle, vehicle maintenance, and loading/unloading trucks in an efficient manner. In this role, you will also assist with picking and other standard warehouse activities, as needed.

• Drive company trucks making prompt, on-schedule deliveries and pick-ups while notifying management of any delays in the delivery schedule. Establish familiarity with delivery routes and customers' preferences.

• Load and unload trucks in an accurate and efficient manner.

• Maintain vehicle properly and perform daily pre and post trip inspections. Record damage to vehicles, product, and/or equipment.

• Maintain a harmonious relationship with co-workers and customers.

• Report and observe customer problems and opportunities.

• Identify deficiencies and/or areas of improvement in the delivery process and communicate them to management.

• Utilize PC-based WMS to perform all warehouse activities; including, but not limited to, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, put-away, cycle count, inventory, and outbound processing audits, as needed.

• Ability to utilize, or learn to use, all necessary computer software.

• Ability to utilize, or learn to use, all necessary industrial equipment.

• Ability to work efficiently and meet minimum productivity standards.

• Ability to use contemporary merchandise processing equipment, such as hand-held scanners.

• Ability to use warehouse equipment and inventory systems.

• Must be 21 years of age or older.

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Valid driver's license.

• Current medical certification card and/or the ability to obtain and maintain a medical certification card.

• Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification.

Often standing, walking, bending, reaching, and stooping. Occasional sitting, talking/hearing. The use of hands/fingers are often needed.

• Ability to and comfort with working at heights of up to 28 ft. using powered equipment.

• Continuous lifting and carrying of 1-20 lbs.

• Frequent lifting and carrying of 21-50 lbs.

• Occasional lifting and carrying of 51-100 lbs. with the assistance of a buddy-lift or a mechanical device.

Vision requirements for driving equipment and company vehicles include:

• Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

• Distance vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more).

• Peripheral vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point).

• Depth perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships).
