ScheduleWe are looking to hire associates on the following rotating two-week schedule:
Front Half
Week A:
Sunday – Wednesday, 7:00am – 5:30pm
Week B:
Sunday – Tuesday, 7:00am-5:30pm
Back Half
Week A:
Wednesday
- Saturday, 7:00am-5:30pm
Week B:
Thursday
- Saturday, 7:00am-5:30pm
Demonstrates the ability to work independently and within a team environment. Performs various tasks to prepare and list items to be sold online and shipped to customers across the country. Examine, test, and evaluate various networking electronic equipment to determine value and functionality. Utilizes innovation and expertise to assist with special projects, including training and mentoring of new associates.
Principal Duties1. Basic reading, writing and math skills.
2. Computer skills with a functional knowledge of word processing and how to use email and internet software.
3. Forklift certification, if required at site.
4. Must be able to function independently in a work setting.
Core Competencies1. Operates equipment and/or machinery correctly, safely and responsibly.
2. Must demonstrate willingness and ability to adhere to all policies and procedures, Kaizen guidelines, safety and security regulations.
3. Provides excellent customer service to all internal and external customers.
4. Contributes to the Goodwill Mission as a highly productive and collaborative member of the team.
5. Accurately track personal production as directed.
Physical/Sensory Demands1. Able to stand and/or walk for the duration of work time (10 hours)
2. Able to bend and reach to work with merchandise.
3. Able to lift, push or pull a maximum of 75 pounds.
4. Manual dexterity to operate material handling equipment.
5. Able to grasp material for inspection and sorting activities.
6. Able to visually observe merchandise, markings and up-close use of jeweler loops.
7. Able to work independently.
When determining placement within the salary range for this position Goodwill Greater Milwaukee & Chicago considers education, experience, internal equity, market demands and other qualifying criteria. It is not typical for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on facts and circumstances of each case.
