The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky’s Veterans. Our mission is to serve Kentucky’s Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.
The Accounting Clerk II position is responsible for accounting duties and financial records such as accounts payable and accounts receivable for the Radcliff Veterans Center.
Responsibilities- Posting, balancing and reconciling account records.
- Inputting financial data into computer systems.
- Perform clerical staff work as needed.
- Work with all departments to reconcile accounts.
- Process payments for contractual services.
- Coordinate the Pro Card system for multiple departments.
- Use office machines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION: High school graduate.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR
SKILLS:
Three years of accounting, bookkeeping, or fiscal clerical experience.
SUBSTITUTE EDUCATION FOR
EXPERIENCE:
Additional education in accounting, business administration, business education, office administration, or a related field will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis;
Kentucky Community and Technical College System (KCTCS) Certification in Accounting will substitute for two years of the required experience; KCTCS Certification as an Accounting Recordkeeping Specialist will substitute for the required experience.
SUBSTITUTE EXPERIENCE FOR
EDUCATION:
Additional accounting, bookkeeping, or fiscal clerical experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): None.
Working ConditionsIncumbents typically perform work in an office setting.
Probationary PeriodThis job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
