The Quality Control (QC) Specialist is responsible for reviewing the accuracy of critical information related to memberships and loans. This position’s primary responsibilities include performing quality reviews of loan documents and application data, new member account documents, and other critical information subject to manual error.
The manager of Quality Assurance provides day-to-day management of the Quality Control Specialist.
What You’ll Do- Review of membership and loan items to ensure document accuracy and compliance with regulations, underwriting guidelines, and internal policies and procedures, including:
- New Indirect Lending member accounts
- Disbursed Indirect Lending Vehicle & Upstart Loans
- Disbursed Retail Operations Secured & Unsecured Loans
- Disbursed HELOC loans
- Daily verification of items susceptible to manual error or high risk:
- Daily new Visa orders and limit increases
- MRB Dormant Flag Authentication
- Review of Adverse Action notices. Performs sampling and analytics to ensure validity and accuracy of Adverse Action decisions. Provides reporting to management of inaccuracies and trends noted.
- Aids in the completion of the HMDA Loan Application Register via weekly scrub of HMDA data.
- High School Diploma
- Ability to work independently with only broad mission-type guidance, delivering desired products under strict time constraints.
- Medium to high proficiency in Excel; ability to create formulas and documents quickly.
- Some lending and/or operational experience.
- Friendly, outgoing manner, ability to deal with staff and members with tact and courtesy and maintain professional demeanor in all situations.
- Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and initiative with a willingness to support others within the Credit Union.
- Ability to express oneself clearly orally and in writing.
