Housekeeping Supervisor
Supervise skilled and semi-skilled workers (housekeeping personnel). Responsibilities include training housekeepers on cleaning and maintenance tasks; overseeing staff performance on a daily basis; checking rooms and common areas, including stairways and lounge areas, for cleanliness. Performs administrative duties and other duties as deemed necessary.
Position
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree; with six months housekeeping or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Must be able to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken and written word.
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear, and taste or smell.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit and climb or balance.
- The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and toxic or caustic chemicals.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
