Radcliff Veteran Center Licensed Practical Nurse
The Radcliff Veteran Center is a skilled nursing facility that cares for the Commonwealth of Kentucky's Veterans. Our mission is to Serve Kentucky's Veterans by fostering independence, preserving dignity and providing compassionate care.
The Licensed Practical Nurse position is responsible for caring for the residents of the Carl M. Brashear Radcliff Veterans Center.
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Performs nursing duties under direction of a RN or physician.
- Administers medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Collects assessment data and cares for our veterans within the scope of the LPN clinical skills.

This job requires mandatory COVID 19 vaccination or an approved exemption in accordance with CMS-3415-IFC from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services. This means if appointed to the position, the applicant must have completed the primary vaccination series for COVID-19, which means the administration of a single-dose vaccine or the administration of all required doses of a multi-dose vaccine upon commencement of employment.
The vaccine received must be one of the FDA-approved or FDA-authorized vaccines. Proof of vaccination will be required. If a medical or religious exemption is sought, the candidate must submit paperwork to the employer prior to appointment for review and approval.
This position, in org unit , Hardin county has an approved Locality Premium of $13.20 in compliance with 101 KAR 2:034 Section 9(1).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.):
Must be licensed in Kentucky as a practical nurse or must have a valid work permit issued by the Kentucky Board of Nursing. Must maintain any required licensure(s), certification(s), or other credentials for the length of employment in this classification. Employing agency is responsible for ensuring employee possesses and maintains required licensure(s), certification(s) or other credentials.
Working Conditions
Duties may involve close work with possibly hostile mental patients.
Probationary Period
This job has an initial and promotional probationary period of 6 months, except as provided in KRS 18A.111.
