Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System is a 140-bed hospital offering inpatient services for female adolescents, adults, older adults, military/veterans and their families. The facility features a spacious cafeteria, gymnasium, art/activity room, group rooms, classrooms and other areas to create a pleasant atmosphere for patients and their families. Quality services are provided by psychiatrists, addictionologists, licensed therapists, certified alcohol and drug counselors, activity therapists and teachers.

Care is also provided by registered nurses 24 hours a day. Since 1986, the system has been a proven psychiatric care provider in mental health and substance abuse.

The Human Resources Assistant is a key member of the Lincoln Trail Behavioral Health System human resources team. The Assistant provides clerical and general support to the Human Resources Director; promotes the effective flow of information, and manages office services to positively support hospital operations in accordance with the system’s philosophy and objectives.

Job Duties / Responsibilities
  • Monitors, updates, and recruits employees using the company's applicant tracking system (ICIMS).
  • Conducts preliminary interviews with potential candidates.
  • Routes resumes, coordinates and arranges candidate interviews with appropriate manager.
  • Effectively utilizes various talent acquisition approaches i.e., FB, Linked In, job boards, text campaigns.
  • Maintains employee files according to state and accreditation standards.
  • Answers phones promptly and in a courteous manner.
  • Assists with new employee background checks.
  • Assists hired applicants with onboarding and new hire paperwork.
  • Coordinates hospital orientation to include copying of material.
  • Maintains employee certifications/competencies in the learning management system (Healthstream).
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Education and/or

Experience:

Associate’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or another related field. Prior experience in a health care setting is a plus.

Language

Skills:

Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Mathematical

Skills:

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

Reasoning Ability: Requires ability to interpret and/or research standards and criteria related to health care; ability to design, plan, measure, analyze, and improve processes and systems with a teamwork approach.
