We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join our team. This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing corporate, partnership, trust, and individual tax returns, supporting tax accounting for partnerships, and overseeing financial reporting for investment funds. The position will also maintain general ledgers, perform intercompany reconciliations, and manage fixed asset records across various entities.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:
- Prepare and review corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns
- Perform partnership income tax accounting and related financial reporting for investment funds
- Maintain general ledgers and complete intercompany reconciliations for multiple entities
- Manage and maintain fixed asset records
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Support internal and external audits as needed
- Assist with process improvements and tax-related initiatives
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned
Qualifications include:
- Strong ability to prioritize, multi-task, and manage competing deadlines
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Highly organized, responsible, and detail-oriented
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Strong analytical skills and sound professional judgment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required
- Minimum 7 years of experience performing duties similar to those described
- Solid understanding of the tax code and technical aspects of tax preparation and compliance
- Proven experience managing multiple projects or engagement teams
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) required
