JOB DESCRIPTION:

Insight Global's biotech/investment management firm client is looking to bring a Tax Manager to their staff in Radford, VA, due to an influx of clientele on both the personal and commercial side of the business. This individual will be joining a team of two other Tax Managers, and support them in estate/tax planning, quarterly estimated payments, and basis tracking.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns
Perform partnership income tax accounting and related financial reporting for investment funds
Maintain general ledgers and complete intercompany reconciliations for multiple entities
Manage and maintain fixed asset records
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
Support internal and external audits as needed
Assist with process improvements and tax-related initiatives
Potentially doing personal tax work for owner and CEO

Skills and Requirements MUST HAVES:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field of study
7+ years of experience in related field (can be flexible, 1-2 years less)
Understanding of tax code and the technological aspects of tax preparation and compliance
Experience managing multiple projects or engagements
Active CPA license
Proficiency in Microsoft Dynamics

Corporate and Personal tax experience PLUSSES:

Big 4 accounting experience
