The Advancement Data and Operations Specialist supports the mission of Advancement and Alumni Relations through the administration, governance, analysis, and optimization of alumni, donor, and prospect data systems. This position serves as a key on‑campus operational and technical resource for the division, supporting daily collaboration with Advancement staff, campus partners, and leadership while ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effective use of constituent data.
The role requires strong technical proficiency, analytical skills, responsiveness, and the ability to support a fast‑paced, team‑oriented office environment.
- Demonstrated experience working with relational databases, CRM systems, or enterprise data management platforms.
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis, formulas, filtering, pivot tables, and reporting functions.
- Experience extracting, querying, validating, and analyzing large datasets for reporting and operational purposes.
- Knowledge of data governance principles, data integrity standards, and business process documentation.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non‑technical users.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Higher Education Administration, or a related field.
- Experience with Raiser's Edge, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or other reporting and data visualization tools.
- Experience in higher education advancement, nonprofit fundraising operations, or enterprise CRM administration.
- Familiarity with data integration processes, reporting automation, or system implementation projects.
- Experience supporting data quality initiatives, reporting governance, or operational analytics.
- Knowledge of fundraising operations, constituent engagement tracking, or advancement services functions.
- Experience with advancement CRM systems.
