Job DescriptionAdjunct faculty supplement the full-time faculty by teaching courses which are necessary for the department but for which instructors may be lacking. The goal of this position is to facilitate our ability to meet the growing needs of the department in this area.
Adjunct instructors will be expected to teach courses in various areas. Current areas in need include:
- Painting
- Graphic Design
- Ceramics
- Foundations
Other opportunities may exist to teach various courses in studio art, digital photography, or art appreciation courses, depending on the department's scheduling and the instructor's skillset.
Required Qualifications- MFA degree with some teaching experience at the college level. Experience as a graduate teaching assistant may be acceptable
- Must have a criminal background check
- Hours per week vary depending on courses taught
- Months per year:
Fall semester (Aug-Dec), Spring semester (Dec-May) - Salary based on credit hours per class
