Full-Time Temporary Instructor/Assistant Professor - Social Work
Radford University (RU) invites applications and nominations for Full-Time Temporary Faculty in the School of Social Work. This is a nine-month position for the academic year position, with an expected start date August 2026. There is a possibility of renewal for up to three years, based on funding and performance. Responsibilities include teaching 3-4 courses per semester in the BSW and MSW programs in both the Radford and Roanoke social work programs (in-person, online, evenings and/or weekends), advising, and possibility of committee work.
Professional contributions are encouraged.
Required Qualifications:
MSW from a CSWE-accredited program and post-MSW social work practice experience, and experience teaching at the university level or conducting professional trainings.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience teaching BSW and MSW courses, and an ability to teach across the academic curriculum, including online teaching/use of educational platform or learning management system. LCSW certification. Advanced course work post-MSW, ABD, DSW, or Ph.D. in social work or a related field.
