Middleware Team lead; Web Software Developer - Senior

Position Overview

CGI Federal is looking for a Middleware Team Lead (Web Software Developer – Senior) to support a program for the Army's PL ALTESS contract. The role involves modernizing IT systems by migrating to the cloud and managing mission‑critical applications.

Senior middleware administration experience deploying and managing middleware software supporting customer applications.

Responsibilities include:

• Architecting, installing, and configuring application and web servers, portals, and associated software products.
• Maintaining infrastructure to meet availability and performance standards.
• Scheduling deployment activity and new installations of mid‑tier infrastructure.
• Developing security standards in the mid‑tier and ensuring all systems and applications meet ALTESS and Army security requirements.
• Developing and maintaining mid‑tier system monitoring dashboards for proactive management.
• Performing Security Readiness Reviews (SRR) and documenting findings in Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&M).

• Experience in Computer Science or IT.
• Three or more years’ experience with application server architecture in a large enterprise environment.
• Knowledge of IIS, Apache Tomcat, Apache, Java, Web Logic, Web Sphere, or similar class server systems.
• Knowledge of SOAP and REST web services.
• Required knowledge of XML.
• Knowledge of DTD, XSLT, Xerces, and Xalan is a plus.
• Familiarity with Java or C# programming languages for debugging applications.
• Knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server RDBMS is a plus.
• Knowledge of UNIX and Windows administration skills.
• Knowledge of Python and Power Shell is a plus.
• Professional customer‑facing skills.
• Active DoD Secret security clearance.

• Working knowledge of DoD STIGs and IAVM.
