Facility Maintenance Manager

Description We are looking for an experienced Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance and engineering operations at our facility in Radford, Virginia. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability of equipment, adherence to safety standards, and efficient use of resources. You will lead a team of skilled professionals and collaborate across departments to support production goals and continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a comprehensive preventive maintenance program to ensure the optimal performance of machinery and equipment.

- Manage repair activities and troubleshoot issues to minimize operational downtime.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance production processes and drive operational efficiency.

- Lead facility upgrade, renovation, and expansion projects, ensuring alignment with industry standards.

- Supervise, train, and mentor a team of maintenance and engineering staff, fostering a culture of safety and collaboration.

- Prepare, monitor, and manage the maintenance and engineering budget to ensure cost-effective operations.

- Evaluate and procure tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for facility operations.

- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

- Maintain accurate documentation for regulatory compliance and reporting purposes.

- Communicate effectively with upper management and cross-functional teams regarding facility performance and improvement strategies. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.

- At least 7 years of experience in facility maintenance and engineering, preferably in a manufacturing setting.

- Strong expertise in machinery, equipment, and maintenance practices.

- Proven ability to lead and manage teams effectively.

- Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Proficiency in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Familiarity with applicable regulatory requirements and standards.
