Electronics Technician, Production QC/QA, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic
SUMMARY
The Electronics Technician can perform all operations duties listed on the Electronics Technician I and Electronics Technician II descriptions. In addition, the Electronics Technician III performs the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Complete first level analysis and tear-down inspections on returned electronic drives, meeting the customer’s required timeline.
- Repair or refurbish electronic drives if required.
- Troubleshoot and determine root cause/corrective action (RCCA).
- Work with QE and ME to implement desired corrective/preventive actions.
- Perform functions in Oracle – look up BOM.
- Perform functions in Matrix – Enter RMA data and analysis.
- Correlate data, update daily and weekly RMA metrics.
- Position may require field service travel for up to one-week per visit.
- Apply knowledge from field returns to post pack audit process.
- Associate’s degree in Electronics or related is required.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services, including customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
- Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing and managing files and records.
- Knowledge of Electronic theory comprehension from system to component level.
- Good written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic.
- Ability to use complicated drawings, specifications, charts, tables, adjustable measuring instruments, posting, preparation, interpretation, use and checking of reports, forms, records, and related.
- Ability to follow written test procedures and verify test limits.
- Proficiency reading wiring diagrams, identifying components, and soldering.
- Requires the use of judgment to plan, perform, and make decisions as to the sequence of setups, operations, and processes within the limitations of recognized or standard methods.
- Self‑motivated and capable of completing tasks without supervision.
- Very high degree of accuracy and attention to detail for working with small electronic components.
- Ability to detect and correct solder bridges and other discrepancies.
- Strong leadership ability and interpersonal skills.
