Local TRUCK DRIVER CDL-A

Position Overview

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Truck Driver to work the Second Shift (4:00 PM – 12:30 AM) on a Monday‑through‑Friday schedule with optional weekend work as required by customer demand. The role offers consistent hours, overtime opportunities after 40 hours, and a stable work environment within a growing company.

• Able to maneuver and load/unload trucks, secure loads, and operate trailers, including coupling and uncoupling operations.
• Conduct pre‑trip, post‑trip, and periodic vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate logbooks, trip sheets, and inspection reports.
• Read and interpret bills of lading, load documentation, and other shipment records for accuracy and completeness.
• Follow Federal Motor Carrier Safety (FMCS) Regulations and DOT weight limits, including use of weigh stations and compliance checks.
• Operate onboard equipment such as CB radios, phones, GPS, and computer systems to communicate with dispatch and supervisors.
• Plan and adjust routes to optimize fuel efficiency and meet delivery schedules.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks such as adding fluid, oil checks, and minor repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional driving record, and report any incidents or mechanical issues promptly.

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Class A endorsement.
• Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience (preferred).
• Clean driving record with no recent convictions or traffic violations.
• Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and customer service.
• Good communication skills and ability to follow directions.
• Basic math skills for weight calculations and logbook entries.
• High school diploma or GED.
