Nursery Practitioner - Hidden Garden Day Nursery

Hidden Garden Day Nursery is a private day nursery located in the heart of Midsomer Norton. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone enthusiastic and committed to join our lovely small team. We have four rooms within the setting – a quiet space for our 6 month to 18 month olds, our Pips toddler room, Apples Nursery and our Trees Preschool room.

We are looking for someone passionate about early years education and care. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills and be confident in liaising with children’s families. Successful candidates will demonstrate a clear love for working with children 6 months to five years old and will be committed to supporting children’s early learning and development in line with the early years foundation stage.

Applicants should have a good level of education and an NVQ L3 in childcare or be looking to complete this qualification. Applicants would ideally have previous experience in an early years setting; however we welcome interest from newly qualified practitioners. Successful candidates will have respect and a clear understanding of our duty to safeguarding children. You will be expected to adhere to the Nursery’s policies and procedures.

The position is subject to a full DBS check, satisfactory references and completion of a full induction and training.

The post is Monday to Friday between the hours of ; we alternate shifts throughout the week. Minimum of 33.5 hours a week.
