Requirements

Certified Teacher:
Candidates must possess a valid New Jersey teaching certificate (CE, CEAS, or Standard).

Non-Certified Individuals:
Applicants must hold a Substitute Teaching Certificate in New Jersey.

Criminal History Approval:
Candidates must have Criminal History Approval for employment in a New Jersey public school (District code 39) using Service Code Public School Employment 2F1FB1.

Health Requirements: A negative result from a Mantoux (Tuberculin) Test is required. New Jersey recommends baseline tuberculosis (TB) testing for all school employees who have contact with students, including full-time and part-time teachers, student teachers, school bus drivers, and volunteers.

Identification:
Applicants must complete an I-9 Form with the appropriate identification.

Expectations

Deliver lesson plans provided by the classroom teacher.
Maintain a safe, positive, and orderly classroom environment.
Supervise students and promote appropriate behavior.
Communicate effectively with school administrators and staff.
Follow district policies, procedures, and school expectations.
Perform other duties as assigned by the building principal or designee.

Compensation

$125.00 per day for individuals holding a Substitute Teaching Credential
$140.00 per day for individuals holding a Standard Teaching Credential
