Role Overview
Sodexo is seeking a Reliability Vibration Technician to support a life sciences client based in Rahway, NJ. This role serves as a technical expert in condition monitoring and reliability engineering, focusing on vibration analysis and infrared thermography. You will diagnose complex equipment issues, drive proactive maintenance strategies, and partner with Maintenance, Engineering, and Operations to improve equipment uptime and reduce lifecycle costs.
ISO Category III Vibration Analysis certification (required);
Category IV preferred
Infrared Thermography certification Level I or II (required);
Level III preferred
- Perform advanced vibration analysis on rotating equipment including motors, pumps, fans, compressors, and gearboxes
- Conduct infrared (IR) thermographic inspections across electrical, mechanical, and process systems
- Diagnose complex failure modes and recommend corrective actions
- Lead and support root cause failure analysis (RCFA) and implement failure elimination strategies
- Develop and refine predictive maintenance, condition-based monitoring, and reliability-centered maintenance programs
- Partner with engineering and operations teams to support capital projects, equipment upgrades, and reliability improvements
- Mentor junior analysts and support training initiatives to promote reliability best practices

What You Bring- ISO Category III Vibration Analysis certification (required);
Category IV preferred - Infrared Thermography certification Level I or II (required);
Level III preferred - Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience
- 5–10+ years of experience in reliability engineering, condition monitoring, or rotating equipment analysis
- Strong expertise in vibration analysis techniques (FFT, waveform, phase, resonance) and failure diagnostics
- Experience with predictive maintenance tools, IR/vibration software, and CMMS systems
- Ability to work in regulated environments (pharma, life sciences, or similar) with strong documentation practices
Minimum Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum Management Experience - 5 years
Minimum Functional Experience - 3 years work experience in facilities maintenance, plant operations or engineering services
