The above reflects the anticipated hourly wage range for this position if hired to work in New Jersey. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.
The primary function of the Receiving & Distribution Clerk is to receive and inspect, accept or reject and deliver all incoming materials, supplies, and equipment. Records all items and quantities received in the computer. Researches Purchase Orders. The Receiving & Distribution Clerk in Materials Management organizes shipments received in preparation for delivery of products to various departments obtaining requisite signatures as receipts.
The Receiving & Distribution Clerk in Central Supply delivers medical supply products to the units, maintains the medical supply inventory for the par locations and places orders for restock, as necessary.
- High School Diploma
- Valid NJ Drivers license
- Reading and writing in English
- Basic math skills required
- Receive and inspect deliveries (materials, supplies, equipment) verifying accuracy of shipments
- Record received products in the Computer
- Organize products received (materials, supplies, equipment) for efficient delivery to departments/units. Obtain signatures as receipt for all departments.
- Research Purchase Orders.
- Maintain storerooms/dock area in a neat and orderly manner, use variety of hospital equipment
- Deliver medical supply products to the units, maintains the medical supply inventory for the par locations and places orders for restock, as necessary
- Work with constant concern for safety of all patients, co-workers, and visitors
- Attend monthly staff meetings; make recommendations to accomplish goals and objective of the hospital
