Data Science Manager
Job Overview
We are seeking a Director of Global Oncology Insights and Engagement to sit within Digital Human Health (DHH) and partner with the Global Oncology commercial team. The role generates data‑driven insights to inform pipeline strategy, go‑to‑market decisions, and launch excellence across oncology assets.
Responsibilities- Serve as the primary point of contact for Global Oncology Marketing and deliver actionable insights.
- Lead end‑to‑end orchestration and activation of insights, analytics, and digital capabilities in partnership with DHH, IT, and cross‑functional teams.
- Collaborate across market research, forecasting, data science, clinical, medical affairs, and competitive intelligence to integrate diverse data into decision‑ready recommendations.
- Build and manage a global team of Associate Directors, Senior Specialists, and Specialists.
- Create a commercial insight generation strategy and roadmap, applying technologies such as AI and GenAI.
- Ensure analytical rigor, consistency, and transparency of assumptions and methodologies.
- Develop clear, compelling data stories that translate analytics into business recommendations.
- Coordinate with DHH and IT to deliver integrated, decision‑ready outputs.
- Lead innovative experiments to improve analytic capabilities and embed next‑generation analytics into pipeline and launch strategy.
- Mentor and develop cross‑functional insights teams and foster a culture of continuous learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics, Decision Science, Marketing, Engineering, Public Health, or equivalent.
- At least eight years of experience in marketing, data insights, analytics, strategic planning, or related roles within pharmaceutical, biotech, consulting, or healthcare.
- At least two years of people‑leadership experience.
- Experience mining patient medical claims/EMR data with a strategic mindset.
- Strategic problem‑solving, data synthesis, storytelling, executive presence, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong business acumen, consultative skills, organizational and project management abilities.
- Innovative thinking, risk‑taking, and awareness of responsible AI use in regulated environments.
- Hands‑on experience with healthcare data, especially EMR/EHR and Claims Data.
- Background in life science or consulting.
- Prior experience in oncology.
- Global data and analytics experience.
- Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD) appreciated.
