Job Overview: The Custodian is responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of all areas assigned.
Roles & Responsibilities- Perform all duties listed on the daily schedule.
- Perform hazardous waste responsibilities: collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping, receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, and packaging of special and hazardous waste.
- Operate motorized cleaning equipment.
- Maintain daily upkeep of the assigned area.
- Report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor.
- Comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures.
- Stop at risk behavior of others and self.
- Perform work assignments in a team with other employees.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Follow all protocols, company procedures, policies, and rules.
- Take direction and respond to supervision.
- Communicate professionally with lead, supervisor, co‑workers, managers, and customers.
- Fill in during staff shortages.
- Support shift lead in completing punch‑list items.
- Use proper personal protective equipment.
- Present a professional appearance and conduct.
- Understand customer service and satisfaction.
- Understand reporting systems and environmental requirements.
Education and/or
Experience:
No specific education requirement; 3–6 months training or experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: May be required to have a valid driver’s license; completion of all safety and task training certification; forklift certification may also be required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bilingual a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, procedures, manuals, and other documents.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment and willingness to share with team.
- Knowledge of upkeep and care of cleaning equipment.
- Knowledge of cleaning compounds and chemicals, and their safe, efficient use.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Compensation: $19.00–$20.00 per hour
Shift: Monday–Friday 5:00 PM–1:30 AM
