Responsibilities- The Registered Nurse provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, upholding ethical standards as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
- Ensure safety in practice and contribute to evidence-based care by communicating with and utilizing resource persons and programs available.
- Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
- Demonstrate knowledge of the patient population served.
- Supervise and direct the delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
- Set and evaluate priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
- Function as an individual practitioner and interdisciplinary team manager, utilizing the nursing process to address each patient s needs.
- Minimum 1 year plus PICU experience.
- Strong critical thinking and assessment skills.
- Completion of all Orientation requirements and programs.
- Current and active New Jersey RN licensure or Compact License with NJ endorsement.
- Baccalaureate Degree or Associate Degree in Nursing.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
- American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire or within 6 months of hire.
